Project Profiles
Lucille Ball Little Theater

The Project:
The Little Theater started bringing quality live stage productions to the citizens of Jamestown, N.Y. in 1936. In 1968, the organization bought and renovated the former Allen Opera House (built in 1881), which had been closed since 1961. In 1991, the 405-seat theater was named for the late comedienne Lucille Ball, who was born in Jamestown and is the most famous alumnus of the Little Theater.

The Painter:
Painting Unlimited, Jamestown N.Y.

The Paint:
Duration Exterior Coating Satin
Loxon Masonry Primer

The Challenge:
"Due to the huge amount of detail and the labor needed to paint the building, the job needed to be done with a product that would cover in one coat, even with dark colors," says Steve Latone, owner of Painting Unlimited. "It had to be a great quality exterior product that will resist peeling and hold its color and sheen." One coat of Sherwin-Williams Duration did the trick, with Loxon Masonry Primer used to spot prime the bare peeling areas.
