Project Profiles
Medical Center of the Rockies

The Project:
A Loveland, Colo. full-service hospital providing the region’s most advanced cardiac and trauma care to patients from Northern Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. Private, homelike rooms plus views of Longs Peak, extensive daylighting, a four-story atrium, a rooftop terrace and healing gardens.

The Painter:
Commercial Design, Inc., Fort Collins, Colo.

The Paint:
Walls: ProMar 200 Interior Latex Low Sheen ES Enamel
Trim: Sherwin-Williams DTM Acrylic Semi-Gloss
Exterior Metal: Acrolon 218 HS Acrylic Polyurethane
Total Gallons: 10,000

The Challenge:
The challenge was to provide a uniform finish that would touch-up well at the completion of a job that would take over a year to complete. “We switched to ProMar 200 Low Sheen and 12 months later the touch-up was superior,” says Don Jones of Commercial Design. “A good exit strategy, such as final coating hallways at the end of the job and wrapping door frames, was a key to our success.”
